Proceedings of the 14th Iberoamerican Conference on Applications and Usability for Interactive Media - jAUTI’2025

Sinopsis

We welcome you to the proceedings book of the 14th Iberoamerican Conference on Applications and Usability for Interactive Media - jAUTI’2025. This conference is a joint organization of the Social Interactive Viewing Experiences (iVX) group of the DigiMedia Research Unit of the University of Aveiro and RedAUTI (thematic network on Applications and Usability of Interactive Digital Television). As new challenges arise for RedAUTI and its scientific lens and scope, the conference chairs recognize the importance of holding this event to reinforce a unique Ibero-American network of researchers in the field of Digital and Interactive TV and update the conference name to the upcoming opportunities of the ecosystem, from the focus on Interactive TV Applications to richer mediated experiences within the Interactive Media field. This conference edition (held on November 28th, 2025) took place in a hybrid format at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. Nevertheless, it brought together researchers from several universities, including Europe and the Americas, as well as industry professionals, to share their research and innovative products. This book collects a set of 26 papers organized in 8 thematic sessions, two of them integrated in a Workshop from the R&D project Polariscope on “Digital Storytelling and AI in Co-Creation processes”: Generative AI and Video Experiences, Advanced Services and TV 3.0, Usability and UX Evaluations, Digital Accessibility, EEG and Affective Computing, Interactive Video Experiences, Digital Storytelling for Student Engagement, and Applications for Digital Storytelling. The scientific paper presentations were followed by engaging discussions, moderated by the chairs of each session, and a hands-on activity within the scope of the Polariscope Workshop, focused on collaborative storytelling through media content. We wish to thank the dedication of all the members of the Scientific Committee, as well as those who helped us organise the conference.
